Leader of the Opposition Sheikh Hasina yesterday directed her party’s grassroots leaders to go door to door and make people aware of the BNP-Jamaat alliance government’s move to steal votes in the upcoming general elections.

No cooperation from govt in holding dialogue: Hasina

Awami League President Sheikh Hasina has alleged that her party did not get genuine cooperation from the government side in holding dialogue with the ruling party on electoral reforms.The allegation came when newly appointed Swedish Ambassador F Dritt Hagstron met Sheikh Hasina, also leader of the opposition in parliament, at her Sudha Sadan residence in the city yesterday.

AL won’t participate in polls without electoral reforms – Hasina tells Russian Ambassador

Leader of the Opposition in Parliament Sheikh Hasina yesterday told the outgoing Russian ambassador that her party would not participate in the next general election if the proposed electoral reforms are not implemented and a democratic environment for a free and fair election is returned in the country.
